Fished Lake Roland this past Friday and things were relatively slow. I was throwing small jig spinners in hopes of pulling some scrappy schoolie LM which were plentiful on my last visit about 1.5 years ago but couldn't come up with any. I avoided the skunk with 5 small crappie and one bluegill. All were caught on the jig spinner. Even though the fishing was lackluster, I did manage to see a bald eagle, an osprey and 3 egrets. The flats area west of the light rail bridge was loaded with carp. Next time I will either take some bait or my fly rod with me. Mark
