I posted this already on the VA sub-forum. Just to keep a record on the Freshwater forum:
OK, I finally made to CBBT after December last year. The wind was do-able, under 10 MPH for the CBBT fishing.
I fished Rudee first for speck for 2.5 hours. The top water temp was 34-36. I could locate schools of fish in 20-35’ of water. But fish were striper not speck I thought. After catching 3 striper @19-22”, I hurriedly headed for CBBT.
The top water temp was 36-38F at CBBT. As expected I had zero bite for 3.5 hours.
After the double skunk, now I can give up (accepting the laws of mother nature calmly) Rudee and CBBT until the water warms up.
Video Fishing Log:
Thanks
Joe
