  • Making better use of space in a Trident

I decided that I would not use the inner hull for rods as they were too much of a pain to get out while under way. I did want to use the space for tackle, lunch, first aid kit etc.

While some folks have used velcro for holding things in the pod, I found another idea. I cut pool noodles and wedged them in against the sides of the yak. To keep items from going over the pool noodles, I cut smaller pieces and glued them on top with GOOP. Now I can put suff in the hull and it doesn't wind up in the bow or stern where I can't reach it.

I also put a hand pump in there for the next time I get swamped with my pod open.

I have to borrow my wife's phone and take some pics.

    Regards,

    John
