Malone Handirack

Does anyone have any experience/advice to give on Malone Handiracks? (They're inflatable racks that are supposedly simple to use and cost less than $100). I have a Kia Optima with a sunroof.....I'm trying to avoid spending $500-600 on a roof rack and also like the idea of not having one permanently on the car. Would love to hear people's experience with these and also on some tips of how to properly strap the kayak down once mounted on the rack. Thanks in advance!

I've used the Malone rack. The rack straps down well but I don't like the straps provided to secure the cargo to the rack. Instead I used some ratchet straps from Harbirth freight. Worked well. One negative is that the straps to secure the rack to the car push down on your window seals (i.e. if it rains more than a drizzle your seats could get wet.). After my seats got soaked I always remembered to remove the rack daily.
