  • Another new guy from western MD/PA

Hey all, i learned about this site from my buddy Devildog4329 ( a fellow Marine), i am also a member on KBF. I just moved out of Hagerstown last summer and now live in greencastle, PA but shoot thats only about a 5 minute drive for me, im closer to state line than i am greencastle. Anyway i would love to hit the water with you guy sometime, like devildog i do a lot of fishing on the potomac and surrounding areas, creeks, reservoirs..etc. I really like going down to Rocky Gorge Reserv. always a good time. Im heading to Idaho here in a few hours but would love to catch up with some of you when i get back.

Nice to see you. Let me know when you get back and we can rip some lips.

How about a float on the Potomac for small mouth ?? We have fished Rocky Gap and have done ok. The water is very clear there and deep in some areas. Rob, Bryan and I fished there about a month ago, saw some nice bass in a couple coves but could not make them take a bait. We could do a float on the Potomac from Dam 4 to Taylors landing or Snyders if you wanted to go further. I would nominate Rob as the host of this one !

Fish at the Dam w/shiners and meal worms/maggots for trout ....sliding bobber ........ fish the submerged fenceline in front of the Hotel bathing beach for bass .........fish the rockpiles by the dam w/crayfish on sliding floats set to 2 ft above the rocks for smallmouth ......... guaranteed

Potomac is ok but I'm not sure how my mirage drive would fair in those rocks ..........

Was 1 just south of Cumberland years ago .......... got the shiners there ........... if not you can use a cast net by the campground boat dock ...... we would seine them there a few years ago ........... they makethe best bait ........ also if you are camping there, the shallows by the waterfront sites are loaded w/crawdads ........... do a google search for Tackleshops in Hagerstown and Cumberland ...... Western Md.

Memory, you can use that mirage drive, but in some areas you'll lose parts of it.

I got to talk to the Boss before a meet and Greet. I really don't care, but I have to check and see if my pain threshold is ready for it.
