  • Wrecks @ North Point State Park?

Hey, just wondering if anyone fished the 2 ship wrecks @ North Point State Park. Right Across the broken pier. I was hoping to fish there one day. Thanks

Edit: adding a photo in case people don't know what I'm talking about

I remember my father talking about that location, unfortunately I was too young to care. I also remember every time we crossed over the key bridge, he would also point out another wreck down below and it was perch haven. I will have to add that to my list this spring.

Man that is a massive pier!!! I have never seen or heard of those ships either... might have to add that to my list of spots to hit this spring/summer as well!

Yea, I've fished at that North Point Pier (1000ft+?) and have caught puppy drum, some species of catfish, <10'' striper, and spot. You can see the wreck from the pier, it's only about 1km away. Guess we'll just have to fish it and figure out whats over there.

I have fished from the Land Jetty there and had alot of success with massive numbers of Catfish. That place is my go to for the grandkids when you need to guarantee that you will fill the cooler with some nice catfish. I have NEVER been skunked there in over 30yrs of fishing there... There is a hole at the end of the jetty and with just some cat blood balls (BassPro $3.99). gotta have a good catfish rig with a sliding sinker.
