Upwellings in the Chesapeake... ie: water temperatures drop.. ?

Along the Atlantic coast.. I am quite familiar with upwellings... and this early summer
the water temps have been very low... a few weeks ago they approached the lower 60's
and some reports along the coast had them in the high 50's.

Noticing today's SST map... looks like another upwelling going on off the coast...

But I also noticed, as this is my first year observing the Chesapeake... what looks like
upwellings occurring off of Smith Point along the Maryland/Virginia line.
And also along the eastern side of the Chesapeake.
You have to view the pic to zoom it to see the observed upwellings...

Are these anomalies and or errors in the interpretation of the data ?
Do you guys see this often ?

Looks like a good place to take a nice cool swim... or fish.
