If you have a roof top yak or one that does not need a trailer backed into the water there is a free ramp across from Anchor. Turn right onto Walnut street and follow it to the end which is the park and you will see signs for the yak and canoe ramp.

Wasn't sure to go north around Susquehanna or south around Mattawoman. Leaning towards the north, so I just might go north and see you guys there. Never been there before, so should be interesting.

I plan to launch around 830 from the ramp if i don't run into any major traffic problems. I plan on having eggs, bacon, hot cakes, and buttermilk biscuits prior to boarding my vessel...a man has to eat.

Well, I got there at 845 and did not catch my first fish until #25. I am learning how to be patient.... We should do this again, soon, when the fishing is better (for me and you). Nice to meet all of you and put a man to a screen name. It was a beautiful da....

It was a fantastic day. don't know if it was the tides, the change in pressure or just luck but I on;y came away with a perch and a small bass. It was great meeting you guys.

Very slow day. Only caught one Rockfish just under 18" and one largemouth 17.5" (only took pic of largemouth)largemouth.jpg. Water was surprisingly clear with lots of baitfish. Hopefully the Rockfish venture back up to the head of the North East River so the bite picks up next time I go out.

Had a good day fishing there for the first time. Caught a small LMB, 3 decent sized catfish and an 18" striper. Got some tips and met some nice folks.

gonna try the north east for my first time tomorrow morning. launching out of the community park as well, any pointers?

There are several tournaments going out of Anchor Marine tomorrow in the Northeast. You will be hard pressed to find a good spot that has not been hammered by them. Try fishing all the docks and pilings you can with soft plastics, jigs, crank baits and spinner baits with slow retrieves bumping the bottom. Also fish the rip rap using the same methods. When fishing the docks with crank baits and spinner baits you want to retrieve them so that they bang off the pilings. Use rattle traps for stripers. I am considering going there on Sunday also.
