The lower Susky and the Flats is home field for me throughout the year. I hate to sound cliche, but you cannot ask for better conditions for Saturday! We are going to hit that magical 50 degrees by tomorrow...also it's not very often you are going to get winds this low. It's basically going to be a sheet of glass. Turbidity has been dropping steadily throughout the week, down to 17 units as we speak. Last weekend it was well over 100 with 9 spill gates open. Two spill gates are still open, but I would imagine they will be closed by Saturday.
My one piece of advice...don't tie one on Friday night...so you can really enjoy Saturday. I know, Easier said then done!!
Couldn't agree more Sparky. There couldn't be a better weekend for this. Too bad I couldn't participate this year

Tips: make sure you are Capts mtg...many friendly folks willing to give advice. I don't have a ton of experience in this area but it has a lil for everyone. Depths can be 3' to 60'...depends on where you fish. I will bring a portion of chart of the area. I am in Acorn 39, stop by. - Wayne
Thanks for the offer Wayne, unfortunately due to family commitments, I will miss the captains meeting. I have been traveling all week for work and I need to be home for dinner friday night. Any tips would be great. Is millard tydings memorial park a good place to launch? how about Perryville community park? Thanks
I'll be there, first time. Any tips? I have never fished the Susquehanna. What are typical depths? Areas? I will going at this all green, but hope to slay (and release)!

Keith, I like the idea of everyone posting which campsites that they will be at. As my first time to this event, it will be definitely be helpful to know where all of our fellow Snaggedliners are located. With that being said, I made this updated list. I added Rockchaser's site since he told me he was with Redfish12 at Acorn 46. I added Echo5oscar at Acorn 37 since he was the last to post a location, and you overlooked Coop1486 at Acorn 68 who posted early along with Redfish12 and Daddyg, but I never saw his campsite listed. I also added Kitkatyaker since she said that she was trying to attend. I saw a late post from HearadonCatch so I added him to the list.
I am sure more Snaggedliners will post their campsites. How many campers will be their until Sunday morning? Does everyone hang out Sat night or head home? As a first timer, I just wanted to know.

Moc, there will be plenty of people hanging out. Usually small groups. Just like the CBKA, just walk around and you'll find someone to talk to, new faces and regular alike. If the weather is decent I might do a little fishing after the captains meeting, and will be fishing most of the day beforehand as well.

I'll be arriving around the same time and leaving on Sunday as well.
