I can vouch for the Lews. Have had other brands, but now have the Tournament MG and absolutely love it. Gonna get the newer BB-1Pro soon to add to the arsenal. They are fantastic baitcasters regardless of where they are made.

I have both the 100 and 300 I went with the left handed crank models since I am use to holding the rod in my right hand. The 100 has 12 lbs of drag and the 300 has 22 lbs.
I can cast them now with no thumbing of the real, you still must adjust for every lure weight and wind change. I went with the power model since I didn't need the high speed retrieve to wench in a Striper, Red fish, Sheepshead or Flounder. One thing that only the Daiwa's do.. you can re-engage the spool with the thumb lever just push it back up good for flounder fishing while paddling with the other hand

I picked up the 100 on amazon for $99.00 and there is a $25.00 rebate from Daiwa.

the 300 was from bass pro when they had the reel trade in back in the early spring sale.

Just picked up the new curado I, haven't tried it out yet but feels pretty solid and much smoother than the previous 2 generations. $179 retail btw

Daiwa 300 hsl and Lews bb1shzl on order, new Omen black rod in medium for the Lews and Mojo bass heavy for the Daiwa. Hopefully get them wet Sunday!

Which Model? The G? The E series was so successful Shimano decided to go cheap and have Malaysia produce them (G series) and the quality went out the window. That is the only baitcaster I have ever literally thrown away. I have 3 of the 201E series Curados and they have been rock solid since I bought them 2-3 years ago.
