During the last ten days (when the water temp started to drop) I've had great success catching tons of rockfish while trolling and casting. Usually I go out early morning or late afternoon. Today I put in at 12:30 pm and trolled for 2 1/2 hrs along the docks near Spriggs Pond and over to Cool Spring Cove. I also went out into the channel (15 feet deep). I landed fish in all areas including the channel where a 22 incher gave me a tremendous fight on 10 lb. test line. A 20" hit me in 3 feet of water. Four times during the day both rods went down at once with fish on them. As you know, today's air temp was unusually hot and sunny and the water temp was up to 72 degrees.
All of the fish hit 4" silver paddle tails on a brown jig head. Good luck out there! Al
