Ventured out yesterday evening to Maryland's Eastern Shore and was completely unprepared for filming (all GoPro batteries dead, USB power supplies are missing, connection cords are rusted... a complete fail). BUT... the phone camera stepped in and grabbed some nice shots of this 28.5" snek that destroyed a swimbait. It was sitting in a pocket guarding fry and the water erupted as the swimbait passed. It rocketed towards thick vegetation and immediately wrapped me up. Thankfully the fish stayed buttoned up and right by its fry as I got the mess untangled and maneuvered for a net landing. The fry also never left its side, nor my kayak, as I snapped some pics. Snek was safely released back to its fry ball to go on doing its family duties.
