Took the girlfriend and the pupper to Ft. Smallwood 8/11 around 1030am, fishing from the rock/cliff ledges & beach until about 1pm. Was hoping to pickup some fat perch, as we are signed up for a local fishing club tournament spanning August/September. Using BW I caught up 4 spot, each between 5-7 inches. No perch. Used the spot as cut, but no takers.
Good to see the spot are in the shallows, hopefully for good weather this upcoming weekend 8/19...
Also, the Ft Smallwood Pier was packed (but does not allow pets) and the concessions stand was also open and selling food/snacks/drinks/bait...
