Monday tough day

Went out last night. A steady annoying wind was blowing but I was pretty optimistic. Headed on my normal route no bites on the first couple spots except a nice stick fish. As I got to the end of my route I got hit almost in the exact same spot as my first fish Saturday. Around 15" but was a fun fight. Worked hard covering as much water as possible with birds working and bait skipping across the surface I really had confidence in getting hooked up again. As 7pm came the darkness came on fast. With pain shooting through my shoulder and getting darker and darker I pushed myself to do another 500 yards. No bites. I've been doing so well there it was a reminder it's not always so easy. I still had a great time. Not sure if everyone watches birds like I do but there is a new bald eagle couple with a nest on the army post you can see from the water. They is another pair the is usually on the launch side. Sometimes I have watched them battle each other but it seems they have worked things out lately.

It's supposed to be a great week so hope everyone gets out as much as they can. Hitting Rocky gorge tomorrow morning. Giving my arms a break tonight.
