Quick report from the lower Potomac yesterday. Like everyone else, I was wondering how this past week's storm effected the fishing. We launched a couple of hours after high tide and fished until sunset. We started trolling 1/4-1/16 oz. jigheads with paddle tails as soon as we launched, based on last weekend's bite. We were immediately rewarded with two take downs. My buddy landed a fat 21.5" rock and I got a really nice 17". These were the biggest rock for our trip, but not the last! We also managed some white perch and a couple of speckled trout each, up to 16". My other buddy was having a tougher day. He had only managed a couple of small white perch, when an hour after low tide and just a little before sunset his rod went down. He was running a perch pounder on it and landed his first slot (19.25") red! We didn't catch a lot of fish, but what we did manage was quality. IMG_20211031_184433_401.jpgIMG_20211031_154223_431.jpg
