just got home from fishing didnt fish selby bay cuz i leave for canada tonight so i went to another community beach in my neighborhood that faces the bay and is the true mouth of the south river. i just brought my 9 foot surf rod and a bottom rig and fishbites. there is there pipes thats are about 3 feet about that go about 7-0 feet out from the beach and then theres some old pilings way out form the beach i tried casting to all these structures and slayed the baby croaker but monster spot the biggest was 10 inches which is my biggest this year they were to big to liveline but perfect for eating or cut bait when i get back from canada im definatly gonna try this beach again but bring all 13 of my rods i had caught 20-30 inch striper in the spring of this beach with bull minnows but this was my first time fishing it in the summer
