I launched in the marsh on an overcast evening but it was low tide and I couldn't get into the bay so I re-launched on the beach. I didn't have much time as it was already 7pm. Whilst paddling out small breaking fish started appearing. Using the ultra-light I casted and hooked up with small 8-10" blues that fought like piranhas. They would bite off your plastics but often swallow them whole so you could land them. Using the top/bottom rig w/another rod I immediately hooked into fat croakers no less than 10". Soon, daylight was running out and I had to pack it in. I also swung some topwater but got no action. Just one hit would have been worth it. I need to come back here when I have more time.
