Spent Saturday afternoon sitting on shore with dog baby sitting duty with the wind and rain in my face soaking bait. Fished just north of the fishing pier which is pretty underwhelming btw. Tackle included a surf rod and a couple lighter setups with squid, night crawlers and cut bait on your standard fish finder and double hooks rigs. Less than a foot of visibility and a reddish brown color to the water but that didn't stop a half dozen white perch, 2 bullheads and 8 or so blue catfish up to 25 inches from finding the bait. Lots of drops and missed hook ups as well. Talked to a few folks who had spent the week and rockfish had been hard to come by with one guy having spent 3 days for a single keeper and a knock down.
