Hello everyone! I am new to the site as we moved up to VA from TX, and am trying to get back in to fishing. It's a little tough as we're out in Charlottesville area...we lived near Clear Lake in TX (in between Houston and Galveston), so it's not quite as convenient to get out. I sold my kayaks and skiff before moving, but now am back in the kayak game and looking to get out in salt water ASAP.
I've been reading about fishing for togs, and it looks to be similar to sheepshead. Next weather window I'm going to head out and give it a try around the CBBT. If anyone wants to join me that has done it before (or not and wants to try it too) let's make it happen.
Any pointers, guidance, etc on spots, bait, time/tides to look for I would love to hear from the experts.
