It was a rare calm day. The recent nor'easter brought down the water temp rapidly. I expected 10-15 tautog and 10 toad fish in 47 - 48 F water. So I brought 2 dozens of shrimp (48 half shrimp). baits).
I caught only 3 toad fish. I caught 5 keeper tautog @ 16.5, 16.5, 17.5, 18, and 21 inches out of 8-9. The 18 incher jumped off the kayak after dehooking.
