Packed up the whole family and 4 other car loads of friends and headed for the swamp last weekend (sorry for the delay). Great weekend, we launched into the ICW and paddled up to the ditch. From there, it is about a 3 mile paddle to the camping area. We had SIS and SOT kayaks, an inflatable and 1 canoe. I threw some plastic up in lake Drummond. Not a nibble, My kids on the other hand had a splendid time catching a mess of catfish and 8-9 crappie. Nothing was real big but we did fry up some of the crappie. After a lot of jack, I finally caught something.........a buzz. Can't wait to go back, next year though as the time for mosquitos are here.
