I moved in January and am now 5 minutes from the river I grew up fishing, the Schuylkill. I tried it a couple times in the early spring and saw zero signs of life and pretty much gave up. Had a couple hours to kill after work 2 nights this week so I dropped my kayak in with a couple jig n pigs, some senkos and some pop-rs and had some surprising success. I wouldn't normally post pics of 12" smallies but the skuke has been so devoid of life I'm embarrassed to say these are my first skuke bass in 2-3 years. I also hooked a realllllly big something on a jig n pig (I'm thinking it HAD to be a catfish) which peeled line and broke me off on a bridge piling so I'm gonna start hitting this spot a little more often looking for some mythical 3 lb skuke smallies.
