Thanks! I actually encountered this same pattern late last fall, so I decided to document the pattern for my fishing log for future reference. I expected the bass to be at number 1 in the diagram (chasing bait in and around the weedbeds), when I could not get anything going there but dinks I next tried the deep edge of the weed line (number 2) but no luck there. When I was moving from spot to spot I was seeing "marks" on my fish finder on those deeper breaks (number 3) 25 feet down.Originally posted by Big Mike View PostNice report and way to think outside of the box by going deep. Those are nice fat fish.

During the spring and summer I never look for bass with my fish finder. I just look for conditions that ought to hold bass. Come later fall and winter however I find more and more that I depend on my electronic eyes to find concentrations of fish.Originally posted by acg_osprey View PostThey were on a break line 25 feet down because they were trying, to no avail, to hide from Turtle the Bass Slayer.Dave
