Someday I'm gonna force myself to get up there! Great fish, Dave! I really enjoy fishing for smallies. Especially when they get over 15"

Washington County has many Ospreys working the river up here this year and large bass have been hard to find. I have a feeling the Ospreys have been finding them, before most of us do and there is no CPR with them.
Over the past 3 years I've seen maybe 2-3 eagles and a couple more ospreys on the upper Susky. They certainly are not a common sight to see, although ospreys are a little more common than eagles. If you want to see lots of eagles then go to the base of Conowingo Dam in April and May during the shad and herring runs. Eagles build nests on the steel electric towers below the dam. Btw, the upper Susky around Harrisburg is absolutely loaded with seagulls, I see dozens of them every trip... what's that all about?
