I can list a few poor to mediocre places, but I am a pretty unskilled fisherman so don't dismiss any of these out of hand. None of them are good/legal to kayak in, I would love to find somewhere like that myself.
Governor's Bridge Natural Area:
http://www.pgparks.com/Things_To_Do/...noe_Launch.htm
The big pond has a distinct lack of shore cover and is pretty weedy in the summer. I have caught a few small bass there but hope to do better now that I know a little more. It is full of bluegills so at the very least you can catch something if the bass are not cooperating. I still go there about once a week but have not caught anything sense early October. It is a nice little park and an enjoyable hour or so walk at the very least.
Allen Pond Park:

It's in bowie but isnt too far down rt50. It is a small stocked pond and has bass, trout, and sunfish. It is very much a suburban park but is pretty empty on weekdays. I have caught a few bass but the good shoreline seems to be closed off for some reason.
Patuxent Ponds Park:
http://www.aacounty.org/recparks/par...m#.VIfCcjHF-Ds
It's a very very small pond with little shore access but a ton of cover. I have seen a guy with yak in there before but I have never bothered to drag mine in. I caught my first bass there last summer, have never had much luck sense but it looks so fishy that I keep coming back.Drew

The City of Annapolis sells monthly permits to fish the pond at the Annapolis Waterworks park off of Rt 450. I have heard that bass fishing is good there, in part because of the limited access dictated by the permit system. http://www.annapolis.gov/government/...aterworks-park.John Veil

I've caught some LM bass in Lake Waterford. Nothing over 12 inches. I fished in the back of the lake away from the folks picnicking and feeding ducks up front.Mark

I have been reading about the Waterworks Park and plan to get a permit in the spring.
Has anyone ever fished the ponds at Triton Beach Park? I caught a good amount of perch there over the summer and the shoreline cover is perfect for LBM. I suspect it is too salty though. It is a very nice little pond that cannot get much pressure, other than 4-7 spots on the near bank it is almost unfishable from shore. I haven't yet dragged my yak down the long trail to launch but I plan on doing so in the spring.Drew

Thanks for this! Not sure I would have ever found this without someone starting the thread. Was looking for a winter hole to target some bass!Hidden Oak 2014 NATIVE SLAYER PROPEL 13

I have fished the ponds at Triton-Beverly Park for over 40 years and never caught a bass there. These are tidal Ponds all 3 are fed by the Bay and raise and fall with the tides. White Perch, some Catfish and some Carp...AS BIG AS YOUR LEG! Fished the two smaller ones from Canoe but not from a kayak. The bigger of the three near the Triton Beach side I have only fished from shore. Will remedy that this spring and do a Kayak trip.

Cold water bass. Picked these two out of waterworks, bought the yearly pass. 3/8 jig okechobee rage craw trailer, and a rapala suspending jerk bait.
Was the first fish for my new daiwa tatula and med hvy 7ft rod. Was nice just watching my line swim away and setting the hook like a fishing channel tv host.image.jpgimage.jpg

Cool no problem. Waterworks has great shore access. Plenty of parking, I think the permit portion keeps it nicely protected.
I might hit the governors bridge pond on Sunday. Looks like you can launch from there. But I am really thinking of doing jacksons landing, and trying for bass and maybe catfish.
