Livingston lures

I was fishing my community pond today when I found a Livingston lure crank bait laying on the mud (our lake is down about 3 feet right now). I've never heard of them and looked them up on line. Apparently the crank bait I found has a battery in it to make sounds. Not sure what activates the battery but the website said it had a 200 hour life. Has anyone ever used this lure and did it work? If nothing else I got a $12 lure to start the year in the black.

Water completes the circuit so then it makes a chirping like sound that mimic the bait fish. I haven't caught anything on it but I know some people have used it on the tidal potomac with success.
