Nice job Dave. I really wonder if at some point in the distant future the dnr will start treating those snakeys as regular gamefish kinda like how brown trout eventually got accepted after they figured they were impossible to remove and not actually affecting the local species as negatively as thought.Olive Trophy 126 - Moored at Rocky Gorge Scott's Cove

I think that is happening already to some degree. They are now eligible for a citation at 30" (they must be kept). I doubt they would ever intentionally stock them in any body of water however.Originally posted by perchy View PostNice job Dave. All the bass I caught (and the snakehead) were caught on a Netbait B-Bug (which is a beaver style soft plastic bait) rigged on a 1/4 ounce swimbait hook. It is a presentation that glides on it's descent to the bottom. Lift it, then let it glide back down.Originally posted by DanMarino View PostYou go Dave! How did you catch them? Did Jeff catch anything interesting?
It was not a banner day of fishing. Jeff did hook what was likely a monstrous blue catfish that he could not stop (rod was buried to the handle) but the hook pulled after a couple of minutes.Dave

Jealous here. I could care less about the bass. I went out Saturday specifically wanting snakeheads. Nice catch. I was told that it is easier to catch them at low tide and when it is miserable hot, but once eaten, other fish pale in comparison. I hope to add some pics and get some in the pan this year. I tried Mallows Bay last Saturday. Only could find the bass.Originally posted by Turtle135 View PostHobie Outback
