  • largemouth from the weekend

The biggest respectively from Sunday (Maryland Reservoir) and Saturday (Tidal Potomac). Feels like the patterns have changed to "post spawn/summer". Big ribbontail plastic worms rigged on Confidence Baits Draggin' Heads. I did see some males guarding beds and I left them alone to their business.

Nice job Dave. Things conspired against me again and I was unable to fish. Two weekends ago the water temps at Rocky Gorge seemed warmer than I anticipated.

Lets hope for a better bite down there on the 30th. Have you been on that water recently? I had a very long, long day there a couple of weeks back but it might have been the crazy weather that weekend.

Probably a good thing we skipped Kayak Wars this year. You are having a time of it just getting on the water and I keep making all the wrong moves!

I haven't been out there yet this year. Might go for a practice run next weekend if the weather cooperates.

Yes, old cars and old parents are ruining my fishing. Jacob and I are going to hit Mattawoman soon, so let me know if you head down that way.

Nice fish! Was the first fish from Black Hills? Amazing how similar they look despite being pulled from different bodies of water. The bass at Rocky Gorge are a mixed bag of morphs/variations in body shape and markings.

Yes, the top one is from Black Hill.
