Memorial Day Weekend

Sat 5/23: I got out for about 4-5hrs. I only caught a couple of fish. But this 20.5” LM made my day! I got her on a PowerTeam lures 7” ticker (Oxblood w red flakes ) with 3/8 tick shakes hook.






Mon 5/25: I got to float the Upper Potomac River with Rob & Doug in the morning. I caught around 17 smallies. Most was around 8”-13” . But my biggest of the day was this 17 ¾” smallie. All was caught with a weightless fluke nose hook that I was letting tumbled around.

Thanks!!! Actually they felt like they fought about the same. When I caught LM I had a Medium rod with a 14lb test line and I was anchored and when I hook her we fought back and forth and she ended up my yak and anchored about 30ft from the spot where I was anchored at. And with the smallie I was anchored too and I had my Light rod with a 10lb test and we fought back and forth for a while. Both pulled some line from my reel & made my drag screech a couple of times..

Oh I know how you feel. LOL! After catching this 17 +" on the Potomac River on Monday. I think last time I had a decent smallie on the Potomac was about 2 years ago. LOL!
