My buddy Chris wanted to go kayak fishing and asked If I can take him fishing. So I asked Dave aka Turtle if I can borrow his extra kayak to take my buddy out. And Dave was nice enough to let me borrow his Tarpon 100.

So Saturday 6/20/15 I took my buddy to the Upper Potomac. He’s never been on a kayak & hasn’t fished in forever. I gave him a quick rundown and I help him set his fishing gear with a Ned Rig, Senko and Fluke and show him on how to fish these lures and where. He pick it up pretty quick. Chris ended up catching 8 Smallies on a Ned rig. All between 8”-13” range and He also caught a couple of Sunfish and couple of Catfish on a senko. I end up catching a lot of smallies using the Ned rig and Flukes all between 8”-13” range. And I also manage to catch a couple nice Smallies on a fluke, one was around 15 ¾” and the other was around 17 ¾”. Chris really enjoy it and Now is thinking of get a Kayak! LOL! And Thanks again Dave for letting me borrow your Tarpon 100!

Good job Berto! Hopefully you've "hooked" Chris on the kayak fishing addiction.

Way to go! +1 on that underwater shot, looks great. I ended up going back out to Brunswick the fallowing week after the meet and greet with the same results. Going to have to pick up some of those ned rigs!

You know Sat. 6/27 there will be a kayak fishing tournament on the same stretch of water. From Brunswick to POR. It's the MAKBF. You should go.
