Good day at Rocky Gorge

Only had a few 4 hours of sleep, but was on the water at 7AM. 1st and best fish of the day 16.5" was in Scotts (which is loaded with baitfish and suspended schools of bigger fish on the FF).

Went searching and found a cool little cove/pocket on the left side of the main lake, that had baitfish amd life everywhere. What really excited me was however that I caught fish on offshore structure (not my best skill). Caught 2 dragging a Black & Blue Footballhead Jig over points in 20+ feet of water. So it was cool to finally catch some fish there in the middle of the afternoon.

Charging the battery...might head back out tomorrow.

Nice job. I've been meaning to get out there in the early AM for the active spinnerbait bite, but I guess I'll give soft plastics/jigs a try next time as well.

If I've been running low on sleep, I pack a few monster energy drinks and cliff bars with me to help with the paddling.
