Beaverdam Reservoir Report 9/27

I got a late start due to the rain forecast in the morning. Made it out to Beaverdam Reservoir at around 11. I got loaded up and my lowrance elite 7 HDI wouldn't turn on. The screen would just flash black and white so I feared the worse. I ended up running a software update and it seems to have fixed the problem. I fished until about 2pm. I ended up getting 4 bass in the kayak and lost 4 more. 3 were too small to pull the hawg trough out for. 4th bass was just over 14". It was a nice day on the water.

Nice report nice to see fish there even after they drained it and refilled it.

Thanks for the report. It brought up the memories of good times, fishing with my sons when they grew up. I am wondering if there are still some beavers.

I'm not sure when it was drained but I think they just opened it back up to the public in June of this year. This was my second trip out there, first being Saturday. I ended up forgetting my mirage drive and my paddle so I used my backwater paddle to get over into the first cove to the right of Mt. Hope. I fished for about an hour and ended up catching a small crappie in about 2' of water.
