Smallmouth fishing in full force on Shenandoah & Potomac

I know lots of guys on here like to make a trip or two up this way (Harper's Ferry). Smallmouth fishing turned on big time with these last two hot days. Lots of fish around this size

My father-in-law is coming this way for the weekend and this is exactly what we were hoping for. I would think with all this rain the river would be marginal, but it looks promising. Thanks for the post!

Absolutely! For you MD guys a good spot would be the Dargon boat ramp, or Taylors Landing. When it gets warmer they tend to concentrate in the rapids below the dams and what not, but it's still early enough that you can pick em up in the slack water. If you're feeling froggy dam 4 is a good spot but be careful. Bring a depth finder if you have it and as soon as you mark fish start pitching.
