I launched out of Mariner Point Park in the afternoon after the rain. I spent the first few hours paddling around exploring the channels and fighting the wind. Managed 5 fish. 2 decent ones and 3 dinks. Had a pretty nice one jump on me and throw my spro lil john to end the day. Despite the pounding wind it was a pretty good day. Good job on the largemouth! I have never been over there. Is that your typical shallow, weedy, tidal type, largemouth fishing?

I've found it to be a very complex fishery. There's deep water, channels, drop offs, very very shallow flats, weeds, pads, grass, rock piles, boat docks, bridges, you name it. I actually had a nice stretch where I found myself on a massive flat that was only about 3-4in deep, my kayak was bottomed out and I had to use my paddle to dig in the mud and push myself around. It was a hell of a workout. I like it a lot and I'm definitely going to be fishing it and learning more
