Snakehead Locations

Hey everyone,

So I'm looking to target some snakeheads in in about 2 weeks. I am not sure exactly on where to head to. I will be using my John boat, not my kayak. So I don't think that mattawon or any small back creeks would be a good location.

Does anybody have any good possible areas to head to?

Potomac, black water, jug bay are a few you could look into. Haven't done it myself but I might be going to mallows bay soon

Why not Mattawoman? In the 6 mph zone there's everything from rubber rafts to sparkling 300 HP glitter boats, and there's a free ramp right in the middle of it.

Thanks for that info. I have only seen guys on here fishing the backwaters of the mattawoman in kayaks. Didn't realize that you could use a boat in different areas. I've never been there, so have no idea what it is like.
