Yellow Perch in Occoquan River

I went out today on 2-6-17. I fished for 2.5 hours. I caught 6 yellow perch and 1 bream. Most of the yellow perch were small though. I did see others catching yellow perch and one guy kayak fishing for yellow perch caught a small striper. He caught a few nice yellow perch too.

I was vertical jigging silver buddies in deep water to catch the fish.

The good part is this was the maiden voyage of my new kayak. I didn't get skunked!!!!! They kayak now has good luck.
