Pohick Bay

Got out to Pohick Bay for the first time this year on Saturday. The action was pretty much non-stop. We boated tons of bass, 2 yellow perch, 2 snakeheads, a channel cat, and a blue cat. Every fish was either on a soft plastic or squarebill. I sure do wish it was closer to home.

Pohick is a hike from GB. I like the layout, and last time I was there about a month ago, water clarity in the shallows was FANTASTIC. Thanks for the report & pics!

Water was muddy compared to the usual. It got better back in the creek but the flats were pretty blown out.

Congrats. I went out to Pohick Bay last Sat too. I caught 2 cats and 1 bass on spinners. Tried to hook up snakehead with frog lure but no luck. What time did you go out? Could you tell me what you used for SH?

Nice catching. I'd like to fish down there one day. I'm still trying to land my first snakehead. I've got a lot of blow ups and hooked one, but it spit the hook.
