Beaverdam reservoir in Ashburn, VA water access reopen

The Beaverdam reservoir in Ashburn, VA is now open to water access. The reservoir was drained and closed for the last few years for a dam renovation project with Loudoun Water. For those who live in NOVA, this reservoir provides convenient access to water without having to drive to the Potomac River or the bay area. Before opening the reservoir, I had to drive about an hour to get to the Potomac River, but now I have a place I can take my kayak out within 15 mins of drive. Another thing I like about the Beaverdam reservoir is that it doesn't have a boat launch so it's free from boats or jet skies.
