Chainbridge

Once again I headed to Chainbridge,I caught a nice smallmouth (fat 18") on a small beatle spin,hooked another on a rattle trap but got off ,somehow the drag got loose.There was about a dozen people fishing but I only saw someone catch a nice size crappie and a herring.I didn't see any herring and shad swimming around like the other day which was strange.Still no perch or stripers.

Maybe no herring or perch due to this coldfront? It should pickup again later this week as temps rise again. I actually caught a bunch of hickories & herring south of where you were...much further south on the Mattawoman. Nice SM catch!
