Potomac River Smallies Redux

Since my unemployed status continues I've decided not to spend all my time trolling job boards and mix in some fishing. I've hit Riverbend Park in Fairfax County 3x in the past week. Pound for pound smallmouth bass kick most other fishes a$$! Averaging 10-12 decent fish and some dinks each time out. The better grade of fish are responding well to green pumpkin tubes. Berkeley Powerbait twister tails catch everything! Today was stellar on the water.

BTW, Fairfax County Fire & Rescue and the Falls Church FD were on the scene this morning running search and rescue boats. They were assisting Montgomery County authorities searching the river. Apparently someone went missing and they thought he might be in the river.

I generally fish that stretch from Swain's Lock on The MD side. It's one of my Favorites. I love the rock gardens.
