Seeing Red

Did a single access with a buddy Friday morning on a small flow up my way. We both had decent numbers for smallmouth, largemouth, and blue gil but nothing of size. I was able to land a few Redeye Rock Bass. These dudes are fun to catch! They fight like smallmouth and have the same appetite! This one was caught on a Hammer Shad from PowerTeam Lures. Rigged weedless and weightless running it on top of the dying grass beds.

Redeye Rock Bass! Never knew what to call them....now I do. You are right tho, they do hit hard. I was able to hit the potomac near Sharpsburg again today. Had kind of the same luck as yourself. Nothing to write home about but fun nonetheless.
