I stopped in Fletchers today around noon, Wednesday, 4-2-14. The river was still too murky and too cool. Plus the high flow severely limited the number of places too stand and cast. Vis maybe 6"-8" tops. Maybe by the weekend clarity will improve enough to catch a couple hickories.

hey i have a newbie question-I have fished fletchers a lot, from the rental boats-(i'd be happy to talk with folks about the how to of fishing-it is pretty easy -the tackle and technique-when the shad are around) the question i have is what you wear for fishing when the weather is cold. all of my experiences on kayaks have been in warm weather places. I bought a pair of "rodeo pants" (?) basiclly a dry suit with the feet cut out. What do you wear when the wate is cold??

When the water's this cold I wear my kokatat semi dry suit.

When it warms up to about 55 I wear my neoprene chest waders with a splash top

        Always wear my PFD
