I've always wanted to catch a land-locked freshwater striper from the reservoirs. I have tried, unsuccessfully, using traditional methods: trolling stretch 25's and bucktails, casting redfins. I guess it's better to be lucky than good. Caught three of them 'by accident' on Saturday throwing around a shallow running crankbait for LM and SM bass. All good size, too: 30", 24" and 27". The 30" striper might be the biggest fish I've ever caught in my life. All three fish were unbelievably strong fighters and seemed very healthy. Also caught a nice fat 17.25" Largemouth and a lethargic 18.25" Smallmouth. Triadelphia continues to amaze me with the variety of species that can be found there. Only caught five total, but, quality trumped quantity on this beautiful day.
