Perfect weather, played hooky, caught fish... nothing better

Shad, Striper, a Quillback Carp and Catfish. Almost all on BKDs bounced off the bottom

For fresh or salt I think you can't go wrong with white, alewife, and chartreuse - depending on the water clarity. I've caught a ton of fish on each color in fresh and salt.

Congrats on the catch. I like you rod holder. Can you post more pictures of the setup. What brand and model did you use? I've been looking to install a beefy rod holder for the cuda 14. I recognized that wood pile. I was there on Mothers Day from 6 am to 11:30am. Caught 13 shad. Been wanting to try for rockfish and catfish but I'm a bit nervous anchoring out in the middle of the channel.
