Stopped in at White Fly Outfitters this morning for an inexpensive shuttle drop on the Shenandoah in WV. It was well worth it compared to having my wife drop me off and find me downstream hours later. The fishing wasn't spectacular but those guys definitely put me on the fish with the right lure to use. This was only my second attempt at river smallmouth and I ended up catching 7 with a lot of missed hits. The bite turned off completely around 10:30. In the last half mile of my 6.5 mile float I ran into quite a few others who didn't catch anything, so I am definitely crediting the guys at the shop for my relative success.
The shuttle was only $30 and the gear in the shop was very reasonably priced, in some cases cheaper than anywhere else I have seen. Definitely a good place to stop if you are in the harpers ferry area.
