Not bad for a blind squirrel. I suspect you are a lot more effective than a squirrel.

Nice! You found the elusive Northern Pike! That would be a PB, congrats!

Thanks everyone. That Northern Pike is the largest fish I have ever caught. The pike and bass came on a white Lucky Craft Pointer 78. It is the same lure I was catching striped bass with in the Severn last week. For some reason I only got one white perch, so that was enjoyable. All fish were very healthy. The big yellow perch was a surprise and put up a fight. When the pike hit, I thought I was snagged on a submerged fallen tree that wasn't too far away.

Outstanding day! Gotta love the variety at Triadelphia. On a side note, did that big northern pike go crazy when you put the fish grips on him? That has been my experience with the few northern pike that I've caught.

Thanks everyone. If you look at the last photo the pike was caught at the point in the background.
Yes, the pike didn't like getting near my kayak and made 3 big runs that stripped drag. It freaked a bunch before I finally lipped it with the lip gripper.

The yellow perch, crappies, and white perch all came on the bottom bouncer with the fire tiger floating rapala minnow.

I now have 2 rod holders up front and can also troll another rod. So Sunday I was trolling a white Lucky Craft Pointer 78 suspending jerk bait. I was coming across a point and I thought the pointer was snagged on a nearby fallen tree. Ended up being the pike.

The two largemouth bass were caught on the Pointer as well, but I was casting towards fallen trees and rocks, not trolling.

It was probably my best day of fishing at Triadelphia. Plenty of active fish to be found even in the stained water.
