Looking for Recommendations on Week Away

Hey All,

I really need to get away. Ideally this would be with my wife and dog, in a cabin by a lake or river. We're all Maryland located, so within a 5-6 hr radius works for me. I just really need some time to relax, casually fish, bbq, read books, etc. Please, help me with suggestions on places to stay and areas to fish.

Fresh or Salt? I've been wanting to check out Deep Creek for a long time, it's not "that far", but I've heard good things about it it.

I've looked into fishing Deep Creek, I know there are cabins there, not sure of details for them. I've been out in that area, passing through a few times, it's really pretty and quiet.

For cabins in MD I'd think most of them are already booked solid for the rest of the summer. Probably worth a try though.
