Each participant will be issued a measuring device so that everyone will be using same.
Try to fish with a partner or at least have someone help with photo, for larger fish it is easier if you hold the fish on measuring device and someone takes picture.
Make sure markings are easy to read, if we can't read the numbers photo may have to be disqualified.
Would suggest lip grippers if you have some, especially for bluefish, wait just a few seconds until fish calms down then set on measuring device of course you want to get pictures as quickly as possible so that fish can be released.
FYI - any rockfish entered must be 18" or longer, bluefish at least 8", croaker 9", white perch and spot any length.
The measuring device will be sticky, it can be attached to rail of kayak or to your paddle.
Measure and photograph a legal fish even if you think it is too short, remember SLAM is combined length, FIRST you have to catch all three (blue, rock and perch), even a 4-5" perch could be the difference.
