Coming off fishing The Tangier Classic Fishing Tournament last weekend it definitely seems the fishing has picked up for Striped Bass, Red Drum and Perch through the eastern shore of Maryland. The flood tides last week has spiked lots of activity along the coastal marshes and creeks with the cooler water temps surely to kick the fish to fall feeding mode. Ocean City has seen an increase in striper activity over the past week with the area of the RT 50 Bridge/Inlet over to Verrazzano bridge being on fire. Janes Island area is loaded with keeper striper and while they have been around the Specks are spread around and unusually can find many undersized through out the shore. If your plan is to fish the Eastern shore of MD & VA now would be the time and would love to hear about it...
