  • CCA Light Tackle Jigging & Kayak Fest - March 22nd

CCA MD will be hosting a new event based on the TieFest (awesome event if you are into fly-fishing!) for the LTJ and Kayak angling community. The event will be an opportunity for both communities to get to get together in a casual setting and discuss tips and tactics and learn more about our local fishery. Here's the schedule of events and the event location below. The Chesapeake Bay Kayak Anglers and Snaggedline will have tables set up to share information about next year's tournament, sell merchandise, and discuss kayak fishing topics will all who are interested. Additionally, some our local dealers will be present with kayaks and accessories and you can pick their brains about kayak attributes, rigging and anything else you want! Should be a great event!

    When: March 22, 2014 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm

    Where:
    Prospect Bay Country Club
    313 Prospect Bay Drive West
    Grasonville,MD 21638

Cost: Free to members $10 for non members or you can join and enter for free

Welcome to the first annual Light Tackle and Kayak Fest. We are finalizing the schedule of events and vendors right now. Headliners will include Shore Tackle and Custom Rods, Tochertman’s Fishing Tackle, Shawn Kimbro, Richie Gaines, Pete Dalhberg, Mark Galasso, and may others. There will be seminars on light tackle fishing, rod making, and kayak fishing. We are excited to host this event. While all the details aren’t finalized yet, we wanted to give you advance notice to put this one on your calendar. It will be an event like no other!

Valley Mill Boats Kayak Fishing Team will have the Jackson Big Rig there to see. A great boat I just used it at the last meet and greet ,paddles well ,very stable and lots of room for your gear .Has many places for tracks so you can customize rod holders or fish finders the way you want. See you all there. Rich

Man I a sure that you'll do just fine!! None of those big names(other than Joe) know about that Yak life!! Just bring some pics of your Mothership Trip... that'll keep em quiet! I'm mad I'm gonna miss it. If there was pit beef, I might be inclined to fake sickness and not visit the in-laws! LOL

You'll do just fine. Think about like this... those LTJ guys might know a lot about light tackle jigging but probably WON'T know a whole lot about kayak fishing. Something you're an expert at!

I will be there to help out as needed. I'll bring along a stack of CBKA stickers for giveaways. :-)
